For the last few days, all I remember was we went back-to-back to the Scottsdale Mall, I’d say. The mall was huge, as I had mentioned earlier! I didn’t buy much, but I did buy these unique stance socks that I still wear a pair of these days. They have palm trees on them. This wasn’t at the mall, but in one of the nearby places we went to. I remember eating this delicious dessert when the waitress told me, “Oh my god, you swallowed it!” There were two waitresses, and they both looked similar. I remember because my brother poked fun at them, asking if they were sisters.
If you have ever been to the King of Prussia Mall, I would compare these two malls similarly. Both were full of so much. It was interesting to think about being here one year after the riots. I remember, apparently, one of the Paul brothers being seen at one of them.
My brother and I drove to a nearby lake outside Phoenix on the last day. We were going to see if we could swim in it, but we decided not to. It just didn’t quite sit right with us. We gambled this last day, about $180, to be exact, on roulette. It was red four times in a row! My brother said to go black after the 2nd go-about, but I went with black on the fourth try. We had lost it all, but I almost recovered all the money had I not gone black on the fourth wheel spin.
When we left the following day, I thanked my brother for taking me to Arizona. He looked at me and smiled. He said, “Of course.” This is not the last time I will be in Arizona. My next adventure there will be much older and more mature. I already am. Thank you for reading!
