The day we left to go to Sedona, we stopped at a busy diner packed with people waiting to get in outside. Once we got in, the food was good! We were served by a blonde waitress who looked relatively young. From what I saw, the other restaurant staff looked Mexican. They could have been Native Americans, too, but I’m not sure. I will mention another place we went to where the dessert was delicious!
One thing that really stood out to my brother and me in the Scottsdale area was how luxurious the apartments and some of the neighborhoods looked. At one point, my brother asked someone what industry people work in. How do they make so much money to live in some of the beautiful places they live in? I don’t recall what the person he asked said, but it was nothing profound. I guess they didn’t know too well either, huh?

On our way out of Phoenix, we drove north to get to Sedona. This was the only time we had left Phoenix and the surrounding areas in the orange slingshot he had rented. It is about a two-hour drive from Phoenix to Sedona. We passed Black Canyon City, following I-17 all the way north. We had to pass a large tunnel inside a mountain. When we came outside the mountain, hail was pouring down on us. Thankfully, my brother had sunglasses on, but my eyes were getting pelted, and I could not see the road ahead for my life. When we came down the mountain, we passed multiple ranches and wineries. On the way to Sedona, you could see the beautiful Red Canyon rocks in the distance.

I must admit, I felt slightly disappointed when I saw significant fast-food chains such as Domino’s and McDonald’s at what was touted to me to be such a “spiritual place.” I digress. The traffic was a little heavy coming into the town. It is not meant for so many people to be there at once. We were only a handful of tourists to arrive. We parked near downtown, where there were a lot of pink jeeps one could rent out to take a tour of the town. There were even helicopter rides one could take for only $100! That sounds pretty good to me if you ask me. We walked by a small strip mall and passed into an art store. The day was still early, but it was getting to be noon. This art store was full of sculptures and paintings. The woman who owned the store was a strong psychic who had moved from Pennsylvania to Sedona. She and I had a short conversation, but when my brother and I left, she told me, “You’ll be back.”
The next place we went was where they did an aura scan of my body. I will write a separate blog about this, going more in-depth, but the information it showed is quite interesting. The store was full of crystals, statues, snow globes, and other small, cool-looking knickknacks.
After this event, my brother admired the beautiful red rocks in the valley. The place is one of incredible beauty. Before heading back to the car, we stopped to use the restrooms, and a “UFO” tour was advertised in flyers and posters to people in the area. There is a lot of metaphysical activity in the area. My brother and I drove around for a bit longer, but we decided to leave as the trip back would take us another two hours. I know for sure I will be back someday; I know it.
When we were driving back, rain clouds had passed over the horizon in the distance. The only thing that stood out to me was the wild cows out in the fields. When we returned, we ate some delicious food I cannot recall, but I know it was good, trust me!
Sedona is a beautiful place; there are few places like it. If you ever visit Arizona, I recommend you go to Sedona! If the desert and mountains of Arizona call to you, make Sedona a priority. I know I will once more on a future trip.
