Up the Mountain and into the Valley
The rest of the day went on, and we went up the mountain. Regrettably, much of my memory blends between the days we spent in Shasta because much of it involved us going around the various beautiful landscapes. In memory, they all very much look the same, though! Not literally, but it’s hard to distinguish which is which and what is what when I write about it to you now. The next day, September 30th, we went to a cold creek.
It wasn’t a river but a large enough water source where some of us scooped some water into our bottles. I took a cold plunge by being put in the water trust fall style. Two people put me down. Not everyone went in. Only a few others and I did, like Salvador. This was also the day I met Isa. When I first met her, I shocked Isa a bit because I asked her “where she’s from.” She wasn’t sure what I meant by that. If you know, you know. She is a great woman.
Although I neither agree nor disagree or claim anything, Shasta is famous in the new age community. Many of the descendants of the sunken continent Mu (most referred to as Lemuria) are said to have migrated to this area, with some even still living in an underground city called “Telos.” Much of the land, however, is interesting because it appears that much of it was underwater at some point. We had a geologist with us on the trip at one point, Veronica. I forget what she said about this, but I don’t remember her disagreeing with anyone about the fact that much of the area could have been underwater. Even the tallest peak on the planet, Mt. Everest, was underwater at some point in our Earth’s history!
.
Okay, bear with me because this is where my memory gets a little funky. To summarize, we will reference my dream journal from those days. Although I did not journal the happenings of each day, I was glad to have brought my dream journal. Dreams may be more important than we realize. After all, that is how this idea for this website you are on right now came about! Let’s back it up and see if there’s anything in my dream journal about this time related to the days of the trip.

Mind in between valleys
For some of my trips with my mom, I strongly recalled the modern-day countries or towns that inhabit them, but not so much of Shasta. One dream stood out to me even without writing it down to tell you. This dream happened on the second, if not the last, day. I will write about it later. Going through it, I saw most of my dreams involved my typical day-to-day activities with a mix of specific people I remember, mostly friends.
If I recall correctly, we ate at a Thai restaurant that day. The food was delicious! The restaurant staff and owner were a bit overwhelmed, but they were thrilled by our gratitude after we finished our meal.
On Thursday, September 30th, we went back to the mountain. As you can see, my good reader, most of the trip was spent hiking, conversing, eating food, and getting to know each other.
Well, this is where memory might start to fail me. Not so fast, though. I had moments in specific with certain people, some more than others.
Let’s go the next day because I remember this one because of what Ana said. This is also the day Kevin had me interview, which I think if you search in Mabel Katz’s website, you will find it.
We climbed up the mountain, and there were these very friendly buzzing bees in an emerald color. I don’t have a photo to show you, but these bees got very close to us and were gentle in their approach. We did not feel in danger with them. We climbed up, and then we went down. I caught up to Ana on the way down. She said, “Leo, the angels are asking me to ask you if you have a girlfriend.”
A girlfriend? I did not at the time. Less than a year later, though, I would meet someone I would fall in love with. I told Ana later. I think it was her they were asking me about. How about that?
Take a gander at this huge, beautiful lake. This is where Kevin interviewed me. The most specific thing I remember mentioning in my interview is how ho’oponopono helped save my RV teacher’s life. Perhaps I will write about what I learned with her and what I did more later.
Dinner
It was also this day or the day before that we had eaten out at an Indian restaurant. I remember this is where my mom and I started opening up with Dora, whom we would see on later trips to Egypt, Peru, and India. Dora’s friend Patricia was also very lovely, but we would only see her on one more trip. We sat next to her as pictured here.
